What is the Flying Solo Program?
Six years ago, I walked into Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey, not as a parishioner but as a divorced woman and life coach, interested in sharing my coaching skills with the Divorce/Separated Ministry. I imagined speaking to the group for one evening; short on volunteers, the pastoral director of the program asked if I would consider co-facilitating the program with other divorcées. I said ‘yes’, and from that I was asked to create an additional program for the ministry.
I jumped at the idea, putting all that I had gone through personally, and had been working on with my clients, to the test. I knew this was a gift from the Spirit. Yet at the time, I could not imagine the places it would take me, both personally and professionally. This first eight week group was called FLYING SOLO. It was the beginning of the “Flying Solo Series” of workshops, individual coaching, and support groups.
Day long retreats, weekend getaways, evening lectures, and support groups, along with individual coaching sessions, are included in the Flying Solo Program.
Some of the topics addressed are:
Forgiveness, trust, romantic relationships, grieving, setting up support systems, deepening faith, co-parenting, re-marriage, finances & identifying values.
